Faking High Cheekbones
Woman with naturally high cheekbones
- Apply something light to the tops of your cheekbones to create an illusion of them being higher.
- Apply baby pink blush as high as you can go to the apples of your cheeks, right underneath the iris of your eye underneath your bottom lashes to create an illusion of lifted cheeks and a youthful glow.
- Suck in your cheeks to reveal the hollow of your cheekbones and sweep a bronzer/blush a couple shades darker than your natural flush/skin.The contour line should end right below the apples of the cheeks.
- Blend it up!
- Gently uses the color left on the brush to sweep across the eyelids. This brings attention upward to create the illusion of higher cheekbones.
Inner Beauty
We all spend most of our time frantically worrying about skin-deep beauty. But do we sometimes take a look inside of our hearts and check to see if we are still the girl everyone knows and loves for being kindhearted? Here are some inspirational inner beauty quotes for you:
" Beauty is the best version of you that YOU can be. If you start comparing yourself to actresses or models, theres always going to be somebody who looks better than you. Besides, you don't even know what they really look like in real life! Just concentrate on having the healthiest skin that you could have." -Dr. Fredric Brandt, founder of dr. brandt skin care.
"Beauty is by nature.By that I mean that beauty is inherent in every single person. It's not something you can put on or take off."- Lisa Price, founder of carol's daughter.

Simple Everyday makeup
Here is a picture of natural makeup on a celebrity
We often end up looking like monsters when we use too much makeup everyday.Heres what we usually do: smear on primer, rub on foundation, slick on blush, sling on lipstick and lipgloss...and the list goes on! But if you follow these few simple steps you will get an adorable everyday makeup look without having makeup caked on your face looking like a monster.
- Skip the primer! Your skin deserves a much needed break. Start by just dabbing Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation ($45) on just the oily spots on the face. This is a wonderful foundation in that it is very sheer and light and it blends into the skin.It also has spf 15 for extra sun protection.
- Next, apply Benefit cream shadow in R.S.V.P. ($19)-it's a light pinkish beige that "lifts" the skin around the eyes.
- Then, carefully apply Too Faced eyeshadow in Copper Peony ($18) onto the eyelids and then smudge it onto the inner corner of the eye, and then a little bit underneath the eye. It may sound out of the ordinary to put eyeshadow underneath the eye, but trust me..it works!
- For a very natural lip, swipe on a Tarte Matte lip pencil in Envy ($24) . It will look like you've just been kissed:)
- Mascara is a staple! For the blackest black on the 21st century block, wiggle on Benefit's they're Real mascara ($22). This will look like (your lashes) but much, much darker in color.Pretty!
- For a "blush" pinch the apples of your cheeks.
What you should do to lose!!
- start an exercise routine like running and stick with it EVERY single day, and you WILL get results (also w/ a balanced diet)
- drink about 8 cups of ICE water a day
- carve out one day a week to visit a local sauna (to release toxins)
- eat 1100 calories a day (*2 servings cereal in morning,*peanut butter sandwich ,cereal+fruit for lunch,*and turkey burger, with one serving cereal for dinner) *Note: the cereal I used was Fiber one/Kashi/Fiberplus
- buy a pair of jeans a size or two too small and keep it within plain view in your room
- drink diet caffeine free lipton green tea
- walk on local trails w/ friends
- swim about 5 laps in a pool twice a week
- TAN: this will stimulate "feel-good" feelings to erode and motivate you even more to lose weight and to fit into (and look good in) that perfect VS bathing suit you just purchased
- snack if you want, but don't fill your house with junk!!!
- distract yourself with OTHER ACTIVITIES other than eating such as sewing, going to the bookstore, hanging with friends, walking dogs, blogging, etc.
- give yourself another chance...this means make reality that you can actually fit into those jeans...:)
- When you feel hungry, grab a glass of water or tea and READ!This may suppress hunger!
- LAST!Don't give up after just a couple of weeks!Dicipline yourself enough to stick with it, and I'm sure you'll be soooo thankful you did.
Gorgeous red lip YOU can achieve
All about the Sephora Hello Kitty ($24!) lip and eye palette
So, us beauty gurus are always looking for the most affordable yet best-of-the-best makeup out there. While I was strolling down the posh streets of Manhatten, Ny, I came across a sensational construction of a Sephora building. If only I had gotten the chance to snap a pic! Anyways, while I was inside I discovered a cute Hello Kitty palette that was on sale from $50 to $24. I was completely blown away because I had always wanted to try out one of the Hello kitty eyeshadows but I never put together the money to. Of course I went ahead and purchased it, and today I'm going to show you some swatches of all the luxurious colors it carries. But before I do so I just wanted to mention that one of the reasons I love this palette is because it's sooo versatile! Whether you're going out with the girls for lunch ,catching the latest movie in theatre, or even fishing for goods at the fresh market, you can look totally glam and gorg with subtle but bold hints of sparkle and get a fresh face look with just a couple swipes of a creamy pressed gloss using the double sided eyeshadow/lip brush. I'm NOT getting paid to say this! It's just an overall wonderful palette. Enjoy :)
